Project Runway winner Christian Siriano will design his own line of shoes and hangbags for Payless,Christian Siriano for Payless. The deal he made is for multiple seasons, the first of which will be unveiled at his runway show at New York Fashion Week next February and then exclusively available in Payless stores and Payless.com in fall ‘09 with . Price points expected to be in the $25 – $45 range. Can’t wait!
H&M’s tradition of bringing in guest designers including Stella McCartney and Karl Lagerfeld has only benefitted the Swedish company. This spring, they will continue to bring chic yet affordable clothing when they bring in Matthew Williamson, creative director for Emilio Pucci, to create his own collection.
Williamson has been known since 1997 for combining Bohemian chic with bright colors and dreamy prints.
The British designer has gained fans like Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Hudson and Keira Knightley The company will launch a women’s collection by Williamson in select H&M stores beginning April 2009 and a summer collection for men and women released worldwide mid-May.
Images of Alexander McQueen’s collection for Target, McQ Alexander McQueen for Target, have become available. All pieces within the collection will be under $129.99. According to McQueen himself, ‘the focus of this collection will be younger and more renegade, but always signature McQueen.’
The collection, which has a rock n’ roll/punk vibe, has a muted color palette of black, white, gray and tan with accents of cobalt blue and bright pink. Studs and mesh give items an edge. There are studded jeans, shorts and denim jackets with asymmetrical closures, short tuxedo jackets and matching shorts, dresses in a blue and white painterly fabric, a one-shoulder dress in a gray-and-black zigzag pattern with a thick black belt, and even prom dresses.
McQueen’s collection for Target’s new Designer Collaborations initiative will launch in March. It is part of an ongoing program aimed at bringing a series of established designers to the masses at low prices. Each collection will be in about 250 stores for a limited time. The entire line will also be available at target.com.
Images of the Hayden-Harnett For Target collection have been released. The line of clutches, handbags, totes and umbrellas will debut at Target stores on December 28th. The bags range in price from $19.99 to $44.99 and some of them will be Target.com exclusives.
Here are some new shots of Charlotte Ronson’s I Heart Ronson collection for JC Penney from Nylon. As we mentioned before, prices will start at $15 for tops and dresses and jackets will max out at $65. The collection will debut in stores and online in February and will contain lots of ruffly little skirts and playful knits.
